This is an high level timeline of the tasks I would like to take on during the course of the 3 month Outreachy internship. I’m eager to collaborate with the team, learn from their wealth of experience, and contribute my skills and creativity to the Fedora Project. By the end of the 3 months, I aim to deliver a comprehensive outreach strategy backed by data-driven insights and a portfolio of impactful campaigns that leave a lasting impression on the wider tech landscape. I envision it to be an incredible journey of growth and valuable contributions.

Month 1

  1. Onboarding, attending team meetings, familiarizing with Fedora’s outreach/marketing processes
  2. Researching and drafting an outreach plan for May-August covering major events like Fedora 40 release, DevConf CZ conference, and Flock contributor conference
  3. Collaborating with marketing team and stakeholders to finalize the outreach strategy

Month 2

  1. Creating detailed execution plan for activities like blog writing, social media campaigns, documentation updates, promotional presentations
  2. Writing blog posts highlighting key dates, new features in Fedora 40 etc. (in coordination with team)
  3. Developing social media content and campaigns for Fedora’s accounts across platforms
  4. Improving documentations, add new documentations and preparing presentations to promote Fedora and key content at conferences/events

Month 3

  1. Continuing outreach execution – blog posts, social media, updating documentation, and adding new documentations
  2. Monitoring performance using analytics/metrics, and getting feedback from team. And using this to make adjustments to outreach activities as needed
  3. Compiling final report on overall results, impact, and recommendations for future outreach efforts

I am excited for the prospect of joining the Fedora community as a community architect intern where I’ll be able to work hand-in-hand with the marketing team, leveraging their expertise and collaborating to ideate creative ways to effectively share Fedora’s story with the wider tech community.
